Os has not only achieved the highest success that any sports professional dreams of but is also a farmer himself. We were fortunate to have him attend our Dealer conference earlier in the year where he got to experience the Kubota tractor team and to learn more about the brand and our future plans” states Dennis van der Merwe – National Sales Manager for Kubota South Africa.

“The impact he had on the team and presence he brought with him was very clear for all to see so we immediately began discussions to bring Os on board as one of the team. While he is well respected for his achievements in the game of rugby which was a factor in the partnership, it is his history and background in farming which really convinced us that there are synergies between us and Os which make this partnership work!” Adds Dennis.

“Kubota is a world recognised brand in the agricultural sector as well as construction and other industries. It’s a brand I have always known and have worked with through the years. When Dennis and the team invited me to join them at the dealer conference to do a motivational talk, I was immediately struck by the team spirit and camaraderie within the team and its dealers which is something that should never be underestimated in the business world – just as much as in the sports world” claims Os du Randt.

Kubota Suid-Afrika is opgewonde en trots om aan te kondig dat Os du Randt nou ons span se handelsmerkambassadeur is. “Dit was vir ons ’n maklike besluit. Os het nie net die hoogste sport behaal waarvan
enige sportman kan droom nie – hy is boonop ‘n boer! Ons was bevoorreg om hom vroeër vanjaar as gas by ons handelaarskonferensie te hê, waar hy die Kubotaspan eerstehands kon ervaar en meer oor die handelsmerk en ons toekomsplanne kon leer,” sê Dennis van der Merwe, nasionale verkoopsbestuurder by Kubota Suid-Afrika. “Die impak wat hy op die span gehad het en sy blote teenwoordigheid het vanself gespreek. Ons het onmiddellik die bal aan die rol gesit om Os as ‘n spanlid aan boord te bring. Hoewel hy hoog aangeslaan word vir sy rugbyprestasies (wat beslis ‘n faktor in ons besluitneming was), is dit sy kennis van en agtergrond in boerdery wat ons werklik oortuig het dat daar sinergie tussen ons en Os is wat hierdie vennootskap kan laat werk,” voeg Dennis by. “Kubota is ’n wêreldbekende handelsmerk in die landbousektor asook in ander bedrywe, soos die konstruksiesektor. Dit is ’n handelsmerk wat ek ken en vir jare al mee werk. Toe Dennis en die span my genooi het om by hulle handelaarskonferensie aan te sluit om ’n motiveringspraatjie te doen, was ek dadelik beïndruk met die spangees en kameraadskap tussen die Kubota-span en sy handelaars. Net soos in die sportwêreld is dit iets wat beslis nie in die sakewêreld onderskat moet word nie,” sê Os.

“Ek is opgewonde om deel van die Kubota-span te wees en sien daarna uit om hulle te help om die handelsmerk in die plaaslike markte en in Afrika te laat groei,” sluit hy af. “Dit is ’n fantastiese geleentheid vir ons as Kubota en ons is trots en opgewonde dat Os besluit het om by ons aan te sluit. Ons sien uit daarna om saam met hom te werk om ons handelsmerk uit te brei,” sluit Dennis af.
